Senior Joins Federal Reserve Student Board

Montrai Antoine Spikes, a Lincoln senior, is one of 22 Kansas City Public Schools (KCPS) seniors selected to serve on the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Student Board of Directors. In their roles, the students will meet monthly to support the bank’s emphasis on personal finance, potential finance-based careers, and the importance of education. To earn acceptance, students had to be among the top 30 percent of their academic student body, demonstrate involvement inside and outside of school, be recommended by a teacher and/or other school administration staff, as well as convey individual interest and future education and career plans in a self-written essay.
