Lincoln Seeks North-Central Accreditation

The Lincoln administration reported to parents at the November SAC meeting that efforts were underway to regain the school’s accreditation by the North-Central Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement. This is an accreditation that schools can pursue independent of their school district. Mr. Pelofsky distributed information that outlined the key areas accreditation standards:  A clear purpose and direction that shows commitment to high expectations for learning and teaching; governance and leadership that promotes student performance; curriculum, instruction and assessment that ensures effective teaching and student learning; resources to support the school’s purpose and direction; and use of an assessment system that can produce data and other information about student learning that can guide ongoing improvement.
