It’s March, and that means it is time to start thinking about your parent leaders for next school year. Any Lincoln parent is eligible to run for a School Advisory Committee (SAC) office. The SAC is your official parent leadership group. It’s the group that organizes meetings and special programs, welcomes parents to the school, strives to respond to parent concerns, works with the school’s administrators on improvements and advocates district- and community-wide for support.
Nominations for a SAC office are being accepted starting in March. Nominations will be reviewed at the April SAC meeting, and elections will occur in May. If you are interested, please complete and submit the SAC Candidacy Form. If you want to ask a current officer about SAC and its roles and responsibilities, contact one of your SAC officers.
